A bereaved sorceress Minax recovered the skull of her mentor and enshrined it at the site of his defeat. An artifact of unspeakable destructive power, the skull afforded Minax much of her power - and corruption. Centuries later, as sweeping earth-changes reshaped the lands following the defeat of Exodus and the collapse of the Isle of Fire, the Skull of Mondain vanished beneath the waves, forgotten.
